  • The National Job Fair and Training Expo features “2011 Employment Trends”, presented by Zylog Systems Canada Ltd
  • Zylog intellectual capital is the foundation of specialized knowledge in a broad range of business and technology.
  • As the economy continues to recover and improve in Canada, the jobs forecast reflects the need to support customers and to support IT infrastructure to connect with vendors, suppliers, and customers.
  • Employment is on the rise. Many new jobs are contingent staffing opportunities while companies invest in growth, turning these positions into full time permanent careers as the economy justifies commitment to long term investments.
  • Engineering careers were temporarily impacted by the recession in 2009, but have maintained a steady and consistent rebound since the reset. Zylog specializes in placements for aerospace, automotive, nuclear, CAD (Computer Aided Design), and CATIA.
  • Healthcare professionals are in high demand. An aging population, growing number of clinics, increased number of retirement homes and assisted living, and a renewed investment to improve the quality of healthcare delivery have contributed to an overwhelming demand for qualified professionals. Zylog supplies award winning software for hospitals, applications for clinics, and staffing for healthcare professionals. Zylog is dedicated to the advancement of the healthcare community.
  • IT budgets have finally thawed and the technology rebound is evident. CIOs have more responsibility for strategic operational business decisions, as well as responsibilities for security, migration, consolidation, mobilization, and integration. Project Managers, business analysts, and developers have a choice of jobs and of staffing companies to represent them. More IT professionals are choosing Zylog, a company that delivers technology solutions and understands the value of IT professionals.
  • Network Administrators, application developers, web developers, and help desk professionals are in high demand. Zylog specializes in bilingual help desk professionals, especially in Toronto and Montreal. The complexity of networks, demands for greater security, and migration of platforms has created a greater demand for IT professionals who have more than one area of expertise, and IT professionals who understand business needs. Zylog specializes in matching personal skills of job seekers to the growing number of available positions.
  • Small to Medium size companies are often looking for strategic advantages, quick results, and a flexible workforce of individuals who support multiple technologies. These environments create wonderful employment opportunities for job seekers who enjoy new challenges and fast paced creativity.
  • Large companies are typically looking for Oracle, ERP, SAP, and Security specialists. Individuals in higher IT positions are expected to have excellent business acumen and experience. Large companies are increasingly investing in consultants and contingent staff for projects, and investing in permanent staff for maintenance and support.
  • During the recession many companies preferred hiring individuals who demonstrated uninterrupted employment status, or hiring individuals away from competitors. Individuals out of work for months or years may have found it difficult to find employment, so many used the time to refresh skills and certifications. As the job rate climbs and employers are forced to look at the long term unemployed, the focus is quickly shifting to current certifications as a demonstration of capabilities and credentials.
  • The next three years will see the delivery of a range of cloud public and private service approaches. Vendors will offer packaged private cloud implementations that deliver the vendor's public cloud service technologies and methodologies in a form that can be implemented inside the consumer's enterprise. According to Gartner Inc, many vendors will also offer management services to remotely manage the cloud service implementation. Gartner expects that large enterprises will have dynamic sourcing teams in place by 2012 that is responsible for ongoing cloudsourcing decisions and management. Gartner Inc. estimates that by the end of 2010, 1.2 billion people will carry handsets capable of rich, mobile commerce providing an ideal environment for the convergence of mobility and the Web. The quality of the experience of applications on these devices, which can apply location, motion and other context in their behaviour, is leading customers to interact with companies preferentially through mobile devices. This has lead to a race to push out applications as a competitive tool to improve relationships and gain advantage over competitors whose interfaces are purely browser-based.
  • Employers are increasingly using social media as one of many means to evaluate potential candidates. Personal profiles are often available to public scrutiny, and certain professional profiles can be quickly compared to references and employment listed on resumes. Zylog recruiters utilize social media to stay connected with consultants and candidates. Job Seekers can connect with Zylog, follow Zylog news and groups, and signup for email announcements of new jobs postings. Referrals are also rewarded.
  • As the economy recovers, many companies are investing in temporary and contingent staffing solutions to fill the gaps created by rapid business growth. Consultants are often used for special projects, or as a temporary investment until a company feel secure to invest in permanent staff. More than half of the companies surveyed are planning to use staffing firms to help meet these demands for accelerated growth. Zylog is a preferred partner in IT, Engineering, Healthcare, and Government staffing.
  • The rising demand for qualified labor is creating an increased demand for staffing firms like Zylog to match top talent to top jobs. Job Seekers are almost twice as likely to be selected for review and interview when using a staffing firm like Zylog, because the employer recognizes that Zylog has already interviewed the candidate to match the skills to the position and the employer. Finding the top talent for top jobs is a complex process of analyzing skills, experience, education, and personal career goals for satisfaction and results.
  • Zylog specializes in staffing solutions for IT, Engineering, Healthcare, and Government because Zylog also delivers software, development, applications, and solutions for these business sectors. Zylog recognizes the value of human capital in local geographies and around the globe. Understanding the needs of our clients, and the environment of our consultants and job seekers, gives Zylog a very unique appreciation and experience to place top talent in top jobs.
