Prayer for the Environmental Commissionof the Diocese of OregonO Holy God, you who made the Pleiades and Orion, who turns the darkness into light,who summons the waters of the sea and pours them out upon the earth;we gather in your presence to consider the work you have given us;To inspire the people of this Diocese to recognize your hand in all of Creation;To educate our people about how to be good stewards of the land, air, and water;To model ministry that incorporates protection, preservation, and sustainable use of yourCreation;Hear our anxiety about the increasing damage to the earth¹s systems, and our grief overlost habitats and species;We seek your guidance as we consider the issues and this work, that we might beeffective and wise in all that we do, delighting in and honoring one another¹s skills andgifts, as we seek justice and well-being for all, to the Honor and Glory of your Name.
