  • 6. An Adjective clause is a dependent clause (dependent word + subject and verb) that describes a noun.
    ADJECTIVE CLAUSE
  • 7. For Person
    Subject Changed
    Pattern:
    Person + who/that+ Predicate
    Examples:
    The boy is kind.
    He visits her house
    * The boy WHO visits her house is kind
    KINDS OF ADJECTIVE CLAUSE
  • 8. 2. Object Changed
    Pattern:
    Person + whom/that + Subject + Predicate
    Example:
    The girl is cute
    He loves her indeed
    * The girl WHOM he loves indeed is cute
  • 9. 3. Pronoun Changed
    Pattern:
    Person + whose + Noun
    Example:
    The main is charming
    His hair is white
    * The man WHOSE hair is white is charming.

    For Subject Changed
    Pattern:
    Things+ which/that+ Predicate
    Example:
    The book is good
    The book is written by Covey
    • The book WHICH is written by Covey is good.

    Things+Which/That+ Subject + Predicate
    Example:
    The book is good.
    I bought it yesterday
    * The book which i bought yesterday is good.

    Pattern:
    Things + whose/ of which + Noun ( Pronoun)
    Example:
    The bycycle is cheap.
    Its colour is red.
    * The bycyle which colour red is cheap.

    Pattern:
    Adverb of place + Where/in which+ Subject + Predicate
    Example:
    The house is haunted
    We lived there last year
    • The house where we lived last year is haunted.
  • D. For Adverb of Time
    Pattern:
    Time + When+ Subject + Predicate
    Example:
    The month was April
    The APEC conference was held on April
    * The month when the APEC conference held was April.
