  • 5. Young Minds Marketing has worked with these and other Canadian events: • Bloor Street Entertains. Wednesday November 26th 2008 R.O.M - 2007 was listed in BizBash’s Top 100 events in Toronto as the number one best event in the Benefits, Galas and Fundraiser category beating out events such as the Brazilian Ball Teddy Bear Affair. With 23 exclusive boutiques in the Bloor-Yorkville neighborhood hosting gourmet dinners, this annual fund- raiser for Canfar is the most prestigious benefit in the city. The 2007 event, which attracted 848 people, was marred by a bomb threat outside the Royal Ontario Museum, which led to the last-minute cancellation of the venue’s after-party. (Canfar staged an online auction in early December in an effort to raise additional funds.) The 2008 event will be held at the ROM on November 26. • One X One Foundation – Maple Leaf Gardens Monday September 8th 2008. 2007 was listed in BizBash’s Top 100 events in Toronto as the number two best event in the Benefits, Galas and Fundraiser category. Richard Gere, Sarah Ferguson, and Wyclef Jean were on hand for the fourth annual gala at the Four Seasons Centre last September. The 2007 event, hosted by Matt Damon during the Toronto International Film Festival, raised more than $1 million in support of nonprofit organizations including H2O Africa, Healthy Kids Interna- tional, and Right to Play. The 2008 gala was a tremendous success held on September 8th the fundraiser saw a stellar performance from Nikki Uronski. • Concert for Inclusion – Diesel Playhouse Sunday September 14th 2008. • 6. The Silent Auction & How it works: 1. The cost of item is marked on the bid sheet as the STARTING BID 2. Attendees bid the item up in increments of $5.00 to $10.00 until the Final Bid is determined at the close of the sale. 3. After credit card charges (IF APPLICABLE), and taxes (UNLESS THE CHARITY COLLECTS THE MONEY), the difference between the Final Bid and the cost goes directly to your cause. There can be variations to the program, determined by unique cases and opportunities, but these details can all be discussed prior to the event. Key Elements of the Silent Auction: • Attendance: the more attendees the greater the competitive spirit and return; • Community Support: Members of the community help drive attendance and success; • Location: an accessible location, made comfortable to the bidder that has items fully displayed to the attendees is important for success. • Variety: a wide range of unique and beautiful items to appeal to all tastes. This diversity promotes greater interest and greater potential bidding. 6
  • 7. Raffles Prizes, Corporate Events & Consignment ZERO RISK & ZERO COST QUALITY, UNIQUENESS AND PROVEN SUCCESS We look after the attendees by having knowledgeable staff on hand to answer questions and assist wherever possible. Raffle Prizes: at many silent or live auctions a raffle Prize is offered, where tickets are purchased and everyone has a chance to win the item. This encourages participation even from those who may not bid through the normal process. Corporate Events: the silent auction works extremely well at corporate events, providing a unique venue that encourages participation from attendees. It allows the corporation to support their favorite charity and gives your Team a spirit building event, while also providing the opportunity for people to bid on unique items. Consignment: Your risk is ZERO • Your cost is ZERO All Young Minds Marketing products upon completion of the auction can be returned, this creates zero risk for you, and proceeds from other items sold, will never be diminished by paying for an unsold item!! 7

  • 10. T erms and conditions All of the following terms and conditions are applicable to each and every one of our auctions. Some auctions will require further agreement disclosures. This will be stated in the advertisements if it is applicable to that particular auction. 1. Valid identification (i.e.: valid driver’s license) must be presented to the registration clerk with purchase of winning bid. Failure to provide valid identification will result in denial of the product and therefore will not be permitted to leave with the item and next highest bidder will win the bid. 2. All sales at the auction are final. Young Minds Marketing (Y.M.M) Auctions only acts as an agent for the seller. All articles are on an “as-where is basis” without any recourse or warranty. Y.M.M Auctions will make every effort to describe correctly the property/item being offered for auction. The descriptions are purely state- ments of opinion by the Auctioneer or the auction staff members and therefore does not provide the purchaser with any warranty. A preview time is permitted prior to the auction to accommodate individuals to inspect all articles for sale in the condition that they are to be sold. 3. The highest bidder that is acknowledged by the Auctioneer shall be deemed the purchaser and is required to show his License confirming his/her identity that is on the bidding card to the Auctioneer. Once the identity has been confirmed by the Auctioneer the bidder now accepts ownership and all responsibilities for that item and thus Y.M.M Auctions will not be held responsible of liable for any damage, loss or liability of the article once it has been sold. 4. All articles must be Paid in Full on the day of the auction sale and before removal from the auction site at which the auction sale was conducted. All articles must be removed from the site on the day of the auction un- less mutually satisfactory arrangements have been made prior to the sale. The purchaser assumes all responsi- bility for packing and the safe removal and transportation of the articles purchased including any removal/ship- ping fees, licenses, permits and/or insurance requirements. 5. In the event that the purchaser fails to pay for or fails to remove the article(s) within that aforementioned time limit, the Auctioneer reserves the right to claim title to the property sold and hold the defaulter responsible for all storage and/or transportation costs and the expenses involved in the re-sale of the items. 6. The Auctioneer reserves the right to withdraw any lot from the auction sale or to divide any lot in the auction sale or to combine any lots in the auction sale at his/her sole discretion without prior notice. 7. Any lot put up for auction could be subject to an unpublished reserve price imposed by the seller. If there is a reserved price on an article, the item is identified as such at the introduction of the auction and /or before the item is sold. 8. Young Minds Marketing Auctions reserve the right to refuse admission, to refuse any or all bids of a particu- lar individual attending the auction with just cause. Anyone tampering with or moving the articles for sale will be asked to leave the auction. All shoplifters will be prosecuted by law. 10
  • 11. 9. Young Minds Marketing Auctions, the Auctioneer nor the proprietors shall be held liable or responsible for personal injury, accidents or loss on day of sale. Payment Terms Cash or cheque with I.D. Anyone issuing a NSF check or ordering a stop payment on a cheque will be held financially liable for replacement and bank service charges, legal fees and other ex- penses incurred by our company to pursue the collection of a fraudulent cheque. ABSENTEE BIDS Absentee bidding allows you to bid on lots at our auctions even if you are unable to attend. It works like this: • First, we assume that you or your agent, have inspected the articles of interest to you. • Next, you advise us of the maximum amount you would be prepared to bid for a lot. • When the item on which you placed your absentee bid comes up, the auctioneer bids competitively on your behalf, continuing to do so until (or if) a floor bid overtakes your maximum commitment. • If the highest floor bid is lower than the maximum bid you were prepared to make, the auctioneer will make your last bid at the same increment as the last floor bid. For example, if the final floor bid was $50.00 higher than the previous bid, then your winning bid will be no more than $50.00 higher than the last floor bid. CONSIGNMENTS Whether you are an estate executor with the responsibility of dispersing an entire estate or an individual with a special item to sell, you want to ensure that your items are exposed to knowledgeable buyers and presented by experienced auctioneers to maximize potential returns. At Young Minds Marketing, we accept consignment items for all of our auctions. Whether you have one or many items you would like to sell at auction, we can help you! We will: • Provide an expert appraisal and advise you of the expected selling price on consigned items; • Discuss the pros and cons of reserve bids (minimum selling prices) for specific items; • Spend the time needed with you to explain the auction process if you are uncertain of the procedures; Young Minds Marketing will ensure the best return for your Antiques, Fine Art, Collectibles, Jewelry and estate items, etc. 11
