  • 1.  YES – EUROPEAN CONFEDERATION OF YOUNG ENTREPRENEURSwww.yes.be | secretariat@yes.be | http://twitter.com/yes_ecyeRue Vautier, 54, B - 1050 Brussels, Belgium, Tel +32 22803425Brussels, Belgium Friday, April 19th 2013 PRESS RELEASE Mr. Dimitris Tsigos, President of YES – European Confederation of Young Entrepreneurs, is invited to speak at “Saving Europe’s Lost Generation”‐ A skills and education Summit by “Friends of Europe” to take place on May 15th in Brussels. It is a great pleasure for YES to present at this important summit. Mr. Tsigos will address participants with a speech explaining YES vision on the necessity of “Turning Europe Young Again”. With rising unemployment, especially among members of Europe’s younger generation, there is a need to put the issue of skills and education high up on the agenda. Simultaneously, there are millions of unfilled jobs in Europe. Friends of Europe’s skills and education summit on Wednesday, 15 May in Brussels will bring together senior stakeholders for a lively debate on the future ies.  of Europe’s employment and education policSessions will address, amongst other topics, the skills mismatch, education systems and possible gaps, how entrepreneurship should be encouraged, what role for all stakeholders and what an EU­wide jobs strategy should look like.  This summit is organised in association with the Irish Presidency of the Council of the EU, with the support of Eurofound, and will welcome Ruairí Quinn, Irish Minister for Education and Skills, and Androulla Vassiliou, EU Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism & Youth, amongst others. They will address the 200‐some policymakers and government officials, business representatives, international organisations, academia, social partners and the international press who will be present.  You can find more about the Summit here: http://www.friendsofeurope.org/
