    • PRET A PORTER – FALL/WINTER 2010
    • Dear Reader, Here is the 2010 Fall/Winter report. I hope you enjoy this power point as a guide for what is coming.
    • New York Fashion Week PRET A PORTER – FALL/WINTER 2010
    • PRET A PORTER – FALL/WINTER 2010
    • PRET A PORTER – FALL/WINTER 2010 New York Fashion Week New York Fashion week was last week, and as a tradition now I will give you the runway trends for the Prêt-a-porter for fall/winter 2010.   For some designers, the trend was more about mixing hard and soft, tailored and ruffled in one outfit. Others went for the black on black approach, leather outfits, but the overall trend was the mixture of hard and soft fabrics. The biggest trends on the runway were velvet, black, fur, red, menswear, shiny silver, and camel/grey. High-waist paints are stronger than in spring, silver is back, fur vest will continue but in longer shapes. Capes, big chunky knit sweaters, paired with big and prominent scarf's especially in fur. Almost all designers had hats of any kind but preferably soft materials. Long gloves, over the knee hosiery, open toe bottie-shoes will still be in the fall and fur bags will be some the accessories for fall/winter 2010.     Among my favorite shows were, Michael Kors, Marchesa, ADAM, Allude, Brian Reyes, Carmen Marc Valvo, Carolina Herrera, Dennis Basso, Reem Acra,   Derek Lam, Elie Tahari, Elisa Palomino, Halston, Richard Chai and Oscar de la Renta.
    • LondonFashion Week PRET A PORTER – FALL/WINTER 2010
    •
    • PRET A PORTER – FALL/WINTER 2010 London Fashion Week LFW runway trends were amazing prints, luxe furs, silver embellishments, lace, orange, high-up do’s, capes of different lengths, intricate embroideries, black,  velvet, military jackets, deep purple, ruffles, green, leather, blue. My favorite shows were Aquascutum, Antonio Berardi, Clements Ribeiro, Matthew Williamson, and Osman.
    • Milan Fashion Week PRET A PORTER – FALL/WINTER 2010
    •
    • PRET A PORTER – FALL/WINTER 2010 Milan Fashion Week MFW was exquisite!   40’s pin-up hairdos, après ski looks, hard accessories, librarian-chic retro sunglasses, is what the Italians have given us this past week. The biggest trends on the runway were suede, furs, leather, lace, beige and grey, high-cut neck and knee-length, silver, metallic, gold, and capes. Among my favorite shows were Fendi, Prada, Bottega Veneta, D&G, Etro, Krizia, Luisa Beccaria, Maurizio Pecoraro, and Salvatore Ferragamo.
    • Paris Fashion Week PRET A PORTER – FALL/WINTER 2010
    •
    • PRET A PORTER – FALL/WINTER 2010 Paris Fashion Week The fashion week season has ended with a wonderful finale! Definitely the French do know how to put on a show, and what a show! Karl Lagerfeld had Swedish glaciers brought to Paris for the Chanel fashion show... as a “silent” protest for global warming. Among the runway trends were: fur, black, lace, velvet, beige, metallic, 70’s, 20’s, 50’s, Victorian England retro, and ruffles.
