1. The Most Merciful

2. The Most Beneficent (Allâh)! (Ar-Rahman 55:1)

3. Has taught (you mankind) the Qur'ân (by His Mercy). (Ar-Rahman 55:2)

4. He created man. (Ar-Rahman 55:3)

5. He taught him eloquent speech. (Ar-Rahman 55:4)

6. The sun and the moon run on their fixed courses (exactly) calculated with measured out stages for each (for reckoning, etc.). (Ar-Rahman 55:5)

7. He has let loosed the two seas (the salt water and the sweet) meeting together. (Ar-Rahman 55:19)

8. And the heaven He has raised high, and He has set up the Balance. (Ar-Rahman 55:7

9. In order that you may not transgress (due) balance. (Ar-Rahman 55:8) And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. (Ar-Rahman 55:9)

10. And the earth He has put for the creatures. (Ar-Rahman 55:10)

11. Therein are fruits, date-palms producing sheathed fruit-stalks (enclosing dates). (Ar-Rahman 55:11)

12. And also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-scented plants. (Ar-Rahman 55:12)

13. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? (Ar-Rahman 55:13)

14. He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery. (Ar-Rahman 55:14)

15. And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire. (Ar-Rahman 55:15)

16. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? (Ar-Rahman 55:16)

17. (He is) the Lord of the two easts (places of sunrise during early summer and early winter) and the Lord of the two wests (places of sunset during early summer and early winter). (Ar-Rahman 55:17)

18. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? (Ar-Rahman 55:18)
