Transcript of "Experimental games design"

  1. 1. EXPERIMENTAL GAMEPLAY GAME NUMBER 2 ‘ The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play instinct acting from inner necessity. The creative mind plays with the objects it loves.’ Carl Jung ‘ Without this playing with fantasy no creative work has ever yet come to birth. The debt we owe to the play of the imagination is incalculable’. Carl Jung Who are you? What are you doing here? Remember games are about the power of imagination! This is a chance to move away from genre obsession? “ One of the most difficult tasks men can perform, however much others may despise it, is the invention of good games. And it cannot be done by men out of touch with their instinctive values”. Carl Jung ‘ A crank is someone with a new idea – until it catches on.’ Mark Twain
