  • I think the most important step is to own up to the mistake. Bosses and peers will respect you for accepting responsibility. Find what went into the decision that led to the mistake - was it wrong information? Was it not listening to right information? We as business leaders will make mistakes but we can use the experience to grow and use it to enrich our business experience. I look at mistakes as potential steppingstones to success. Don't be afraid to try new things. They can lead to a wonderful life experience.

  • When I've made a mistake, I've learned to never give up. I will get it right, and I will continue step-by-step movement forward until each step is mastered. I am grateful for all the feedback I receive, and thankful for all the helpful and loving people in my life who give that feedback.

  • From my perspective there are –
Mistakes – unintentional – Ex. Picking up a blue pen while meaning to pick up a red one.
Oversights – unintentional – Ex. Intending to pay a bill by a certain date yet forgetting to do so.
Accidents – unintentional – Ex. Spilling a drink on someone.
Errors –unintentional – Ex. Adding up a column of numbers and getting the wrong answer.
Crimes – intentional/willful – Ex. Stealing, murder, etc.
Sins – intentional/willful – Ex. Committing adultery, breaking the 10 Commandments
No, Bill Clinton did not make a mistake, as he claimed, in his actions with Monica!
Into day’s society many people say they made a making a mistake to avoid taking responsibility for their behaviors.
