POD 1/19/10 Sorting Shapes

  1. 1. POD 1/19/2010 Sort these geometric shapes according to the Venn Diagram: Parallel Sides Perpendicular Sides
  2. 2. POD 1/19/2010 Sort these geometric shapes according to the Venn Diagram: Parallel Sides Perpendicular Sides Our Thinking: 1) Look carefully at what the Venn Diagram is asking. 2) The only shape that met both requirements was the square. 3) The hexagon and trapezoid just had parallel sides. 4) The right scalene triangle just had perpendicular sides. 5) The equilateral triangle didn't fit anywhere in the Venn Diagram, that is why it is still outside the diagram.
