  • 2. Canadian Art During the 20 th century, especially the latter half, the arts flourished along with many newly created art schools and universities. Taking advantage of its glorious landscapes and unique native culture, many painters found fame or even created their own styles of painting. These artist include Paul Kane, and the Group of Seven. Another unique form of art in Canada was sculpture, which was primarily done with walrus ivory and soapstone by the native Inuit artists.
  • 3. Canadian Theatre There is a large stage theatre scene in Canada. Canada is home to the world`s 2 nd largest fringe festival, known as the Edmonton International Fringe Festival. One of its most popular summer tourist attractions is the Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Stratford, Ontario.
  • 4. Canadian Cuisine Canadian cuisine finds itself mostly coming from a mixture of American, British, French, and native backgrounds along with its new large immigrant population. Wild game and seafood (which includes seal meat) finds itself a favorite in the more rural northern regions. Top two contenders for Canada's national food are poutine, and butter tarts.
