The Young Artists Competition 2015
Last year, RebalanceMD
was packed with members
of our community for the
second annual Young Artists
Competition. Over thirty
secondary school students
competed for six awards and a
spot in the Young Artists Spring
Exhibition.
The competition was of such
high quality that ten additional
participants’ artwork received
honorable mention and were
displayed in the 2014 Young
Artists Spring Exhibition with
the award winners .

The 2015 Exhibition
The award winning artwork will
be purchased by RebalanceMD
and, after the Young Artists
Exhibition, will become part of
the company’s art collection. All
other works will be returned to
the artists post-exhibition.
This is a great opportunity for
young artists to gain recognition
in the community and build
a client history for their
professional portfolio.
Entries must receive one of
the six awards or honourable
mention to participate in the
Young Artists Exhibition.
Entries remain the participant’s
property and will be returned at
the end of the exhibition.

Dates & Deadlines
The deadline to apply is Friday, May 2. Artwork does not have to be
completed until the day of the competition at which time it must be
fully dry and ready to display.
A brief artist statement of 50 to 100 words and a description of the
medium you are using must be emailed to design@rebalancemd.com
no later than Friday, May 23.

The Young Artists Competition 2015
This year’s theme is Metamorphosis
Artists are encouraged to represent the dynamic nature of life
through observation of change. This can be change in the human
form, in nature, in history, in new ways of living. Feel free to explore
concepts and ideas in original and innovative ways.
Award winners
will receive a cash prize and
their work will be displayed at
RebalanceMD
’s until the end of
the 2015 Spring Exhibition.
Eligibility
Applicants must be currently
enrolled in a Vancouver Island
high school. Only artwork that
for awards.
Participants under the age of 18
will need a guardian present at
the time of the competition to
sign a consent form.
The competition will take place
from 11:00AM to 1:00PM on
