  • 29. © Copyright 30/01/14 BMC Software, Inc 29 Upgrade or Migrate? cont. Upgrade – 8.3.x to 9.0 on RHEL5 • An upgrade is possible to BMC Atrium Discovery version 9.0 running on RHEL 5. This enables you to use many of the new features introduced in BMC Atrium Discovery 9.0, but does not fully support IPv6. This is described in Upgrading to version 9.0. Migration – 8.3.x to 9.0 on RHEL6 • There is no direct upgrade path between BMC Atrium Discovery version 8.3.x and version BMC Atrium Discovery 9.0 running on RHEL 6. Rather, a migration is required. The migration procedure is described in Migrating from version 8.3.x to 9.0. Migration – 7.5 to 9.0 on RHEL6 • There is no direct upgrade path between BMC Atrium Discovery version 7.5 (BMC Topology Discovery and Foundation Discovery) and any later version of BMC Atrium Discovery. In this case too, a migration is required. This migration procedure is described in Migrating from version 7.5 to 9.0.
