ADDRESS
How you address people would depend usually on where you have
met them and what their position relative to yours is. You should
address a person as “Mr._____” until he invites you to call him by
his first name. this holds good even if the person is younger to you.
Should you address a man “Shri” a lady “Shrimati” and an unmarried
lady “Kumari”. Most people feel that “Mr” and “Ms” are the
appropriate ways to address persons in a business environment.
There are some exceptions. A medical or academic doctor is often
called just doctor; a priest is called father; a nun sister; a general
general so on. There are also persons of rank of position who should
be addressed correctly.
