  • 3. Day two completely belongs to V. Sehwag VIRENDER SEHWAG completed his 5 th double century in Test SEHWAG is the second Indian batsman after Rahul Dravid to score five double century in Test Cricket for India.
  • 4. At Galle SEHWAG became the first Indian batsman to register a double century. With this record he also became the first batman for India against Sri Lanka. Md Azharuddin’s 199 was the best against Sri Lanka earlier.
  • 5. SEHWAG is the second man after Sunil Gavaskar to carry his bat through a completed innings.
  • 6. SEHWAG also completed his 5000 runs in test cricket when he was 149*. He is now the 10 th Indian player to achieve this success.
  • 7. This is the bowling figure of 6-117 is best for Ajanta Mendis in test cricket. He is playing his second test and has already taken 14 wickets in 3 innings .
  • 8. 897 runs at an average of 81.54 in seven matches have been scored by VIRENDER SEHWAG in the year 2008. He is just behind South African opener and captain Graeme Smith , who has scored 979 runs at an average of 65.26 in 10 matches
