  • 2. Basic info The duckbill platypus lives in thedeciduous forests of AUSTRAILIA. It is about half the size of a house cat.
  • 3. Adaptations Its has a thick layer of fur apart from it’sbill and feet. It is dark brown with a some shades ofyellow on it’s stomach. It’s tail has a fatty tissue which is usedto store energy. The body is streamlined and flat. It has short legs.
  • 4. More adaptations It has black, partially webbed frontfeet, but its back feet are just black. It has broad nails on it’s feet. Males have hollow spurs on it’s ankleswith poisonous venom.
