    How to export & import citations from the LexisNexis Academic database
  • 3. NOTE: Accessing the NEW Display
    • Once you log into your account, in the top right corner is a link for the new RefWorks- RefWorks 2.0
    • 4. Click on it to start using the new display
    • 5. RefWorks remembers which version (Classic or 2.0) you selected and will load that verison in future logins
    • 6. To switch back to the Classic version, click on the RefWorks Classic link in the upper right corner
  • Exporting & Importing Citations from LexisNexis Academic
    • Perform your search in LexisNexis Academic
  • Exporting & Importing Citations from LexisNexis Academic
    • Find an article, and click on it’s title
  • Exporting & Importing Citations from LexisNexis Academic
    • Click on the icon of an open book, located in the upper right corner under the search box
  • Exporting & Importing Citations from LexisNexis Academic
    • Select the resource(s) you wish to import into RefWorks
    • 7. Click Export
  • Exporting & Importing Citations from LexisNexis Academic
    • Beware of your browser’s pop-up blocker. It may block your RefWorks confirmation screen and stop exporting your citation(s).
    • 8. Click on the yellow bar and choose to allow pop-ups from the database
    • 9. Click here for instructions on how to allow pop-ups in your browser from certain websites

  • 10. Exporting & Importing Citations from LexisNexis Academic
    • If you have not logged into RefWorks, you will now be prompted to login in.
    • 11. If you are already signed in, then a screen appears to confirm your citation has been saved.

    • To look at the citation just imported, click View Last Imported
