    • We want to search ERIC for full text, peer reviewed articles concerning school health professionals working with Asthmatic Children.
    • We begin by searching for the term “Asthmatic”.
    • The results list returns a meager 4 hits.
    • To expand our list we use the logical operator “OR” and the term “asthma”.
    • We now have 58 hits on the results list.
    • To focus our search we now enter the phrase “school nurse” Looking through the results we see several relevant articles.
    • The result displays the HTML version of the article. We choose the first article by selecting the title.
    • This provides convenient means to navigate using the table of contents in the left hand column.
    • We examine the citation to see the abstract, descriptors, and authors’ names.
    • Returning to the results list we examine other article titles.
    • We view a PDF version of an article and its citation.
    • Going down the results list we view the brief citation in a pop up screen by selecting the “eye glass” icon.
    • Examining another article, we view the possible citation format by selecting the “cite this article” icon from the article tool bar.
    • Returning to the results list we select several articles to export by placing them in the folder. To add an article, select the “Add to Folder” icon.
    • Select the articles you wish to email, choose the email icon, type in your email address, select the proper citation format, and email the items to your box.
