Waldir Moreira holds Bachelors (‘05) and Masters (‘08) degrees in Computer Science. His PhD degree in Telecommunications (’14) is from Universidades do Minho, Aveiro and Porto. His researcher career started at GERCOM/UFPA/Brazil (‘06) passing by INESC-Porto/Portugal (‘09), COPELABS/Portugal (‘10), and Regional Catalão/UFG/Brazil (’15), being involved in different national and European projects. Currently, he is Senior Scientist at Fraunhofer AICOS working in the field of ICT for Development. His research interests and publications are related to Wireless Adhoc, Mesh, Social-aware, Cooperative, Opportunistic, and Information-centric Networking and Routing.
