  • The Human Body BY: MOYCA DISINI
  • A Skeleton
    • A skeleton is a hard formation made from about 206 bones.
    • The bone protects organs like: the heart ,the lungs, the brain, and the spinal cord.
  • The 3 Basic parts of the bone
    • Periosteum
    • -This part covers the whole bone aside from the places where cartilage connects the bone to a point.
    • Haversian canal
    • -This part Is under the periosteaum layer. This part carries nerves and blood cells.
    • Bone marrow
    • -A red bone marrow makes red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets.
  • A Muscle
    • A muscle allows us to jump, run, smile, dance, laugh, swallow, breathe, and a whole lot of other movements.
    • A locomotive apparatus is made of bones, joints, and muscles.
    • A Locomotive Apparatus makes it feasible for us to move.
    • There are over 400 muscles in the human body.
  • What are muscles made of?
    • There are 3 types of muscles; skeletal, smooth, and cardiac.
    • Skeletal muscles are made up of long shaped cells called fibers.
    • Smooth muscles are made of short cells.
    • Cardiac muscles are strung together into striated fibers.
