  • What we have found from working with thousands of business owners is most of them have the same 3 questions. What is Internet Marketing, how does Internet Marketing work, is Internet Marketing(IM) right for me? Today we are going to be addressing each one of these questions.
  • Power Statement: One of the most exciting things about Internet Marketing is levels the playing field. In the past small companies could not compete with major corporations. Today not only can small companies compete they can dominate. Power Question: Do you ever have to compete with large companies that have greater resources?
  • Power Statement: Over the last 2 decades the advertising market has become so crowded that interruption marketing is becoming more and more aggravating. Power Question: What types of traditional marketing have you tried in the past? What have found to be the most effective?
  • Power Statement: Today, the goal of marketing needs to be to “get found” by customers when they are looking, not “get in their face” when they are not looking. SEO is all about making sure you are found. Power Question: How familiar are you with Search Engine Optimization?
  • Power Statement: There are 2 distinct advantages to Pay per Click advertising. One advantage is you can get immediate results and the second advantage is you are in complete control. You decide how many prospects you can handle. Power Question: If you were to suddenly receive 10,000 “qualified” visitors per day to your web site for the next month, how would your business be impacted?
  • Power Statement: Of all the Internet Marketing tools available one of the most exciting is email marketing. Email marketing is one of the most cost effective ways to market to both existing clients and new prospects. Power Question: Which is more important to your business, retaining and selling existing clients or attracting new clients?
  • Power Statement: Just like every other area of our lives being popular can help. One of the things that WSI is strongest in is making sure your website excels in link popularity. Power Question: Have you ever heard of link popularity? Can you see how link popularity would impact you with the search engines?
  • Power Statement: The picture here represents a viral ad campaign conducted by Burger King. The chicken you see was set up so that users could type in commands and chicken would do whatever it was told to do. From something as simple as jump to Michael Jackson’s moon walk. The link for this site was sent to hundreds of thousands of people from their friends. While viral marketing may be appropriate for you company today it is important for you to continuously be looking at different low cost alternatives to get your message out. Power Question: Can you see how out of the box marketing like viral marketing might be useful at some point in the future?
  • Power Statement: Internet Marketing is not right for everybody. What I would like to discuss with you now are the five key factors that determine if it right for you. The more factors that fit with your company the more success you will have. Power Question: Has your company had any success with Internet Marketing to this point?
  • Power Statement: For companies that are truly focused on growth there Internet Marketing can get truly amazing results. If your company is happy to stay where you are Internet Marketing may not be for you. Power Question: As you look project forward over then next 5 years do you see your company growing significantly?
  • Power Statement: Because Internet Marketing can get such amazing results it is important that you company is prepared to handle a large influx of new customers. Power Question: How focused on sales has your company been to this point?
  • Power Statement: The companies that have gotten the most from Internet Marketing understand that it is a journey and not an immediate destination. Just like any other journey there will highs and lows and bumps along the way. Power Question: How successful has you company been in the past with long term initiatives?
  • Power Statement: Another area of expertise that WSI has is being able to research and find out exactly who is looking for your type of company and how many of them there are. Power Question: Have you done any research already to determine how many people are looking for you on the web?
  • Power Statement: Internet marketing works great in 3 different situations: One if customer retention is a major priority. Two in a situation where you have a product that can be sold on the web or Three if you need to generate sales leads and there are customers who need to find you to buy a product. We have already discussed customer retention and you said, (fill in customers comments here) In addition, do you have any products that you can sell on the web or do you need to generate sales leads?
  • Power Statement: At this point we typically take a look at your situation and decide what can of fit your company is for Internet Marketing. As I mentioned earlier WSI can help provide you with reasarch on how many people are searching for companies like yours on the web. (if you have done research already you can set that up here) Power Question: Is your company: Focused on growth? Focused on Sales? Have the ability to maintain a long Term Vision? What is your feeing about whether or not you have the right Market? In your opinion how suitable is your product?
