  • 2. Allen Jay Allen Jay is not a real person but the Underground Railroad is real. The Underground Railroad is a form to get to the North of the United States where everybody was free and have the same rites and in the South there was slavery.

This is courageous because if the owner of the slave find him he would kill or torture Allen, Allen knew the consequences but he still helping the slave to escape to the North of the United States.
  • 7. Religious Allen is courageous in this book because the Jays belonged to a religious group called the Society of friends or Quakers. Friends believed that everyone was equal. So they dressed alike in plain clothes and called everybody “thee”, whether stranger or friend. Allen and his family form part of this group.
  • 8. Persistent Allen is persistent in this book because he never stop on the way to her grandparent house, that means that he wasn’t thinking about the bears,snakes,wildcats and slave hunters that were on the woods, with lucky he didn’t step with one on the road.

Optimistic Allen is optimistic in this book because when Allen and the slave were crossing the woods on the night Allen was always thinking that they can find the way to his grandparent house to help the slave to get to the North of the United States. The risk of crossing the woods on the night was that there were wildcats, snakes,bears and slave hunters.
  • 10. Allen’s special place Allen’s special place is the farm where the horse and the buggy were. This is special place because is where he decided for the first time to help a runaway slave. He decided to do that because if his father wasn’t at the farm, the slave owner was going to think that he is helping the runaway slave. That shows that he is a really brave kid and he cares about the life of his family.

Allen’s medal Allen’s heroic qualities are that he help the slaves giving them food, drink and the most important things of their lives to get to the North of the United States where everybody was equal and have the same rites and in the South there was slavery and the black people were slaves.

Restaurant on the passage of freedrom I choose a chocolate cake that represent the black people and a vanilla cake to represent the white people and a balance to show that everybody is I choose a ham because equal, Allen’s dream was the ham have the power to be everybody equal., over your teeth and the slave owners have the power over the slaves, Allen’s dream is to end slavery.
