  • 1. Clean Water Crisis:WIU Water Awareness Project
    By: Group 1
  • 2. The Problem
There are nearly 1 billion people on the planet that lack access to clean drinking water.
Nearly one in eight people currently face this problem.
On our planet less than 1% of the water is freshwater.
    Contaminated water can have microorganisms
    Bacteria, Protozoan, Viruses
These microorganisms can make someone very sick, even cause death.
This poor sanitation leads to nearly 3.575 million people deaths each year from water related diseases.
  • 3. Who Does it Affect?
Millions of women and children have to walk miles to reach a source of water, and often these sources are polluted.
This polluted water can lead to disease in men, women, and children all throughout villages across the globe.
  • 4. Our purpose
To raise awareness that millions of people around the world have no drinking water.
Help those who are in need of safe water.
Provide information to those who aren’t aware of the crisis going on everyday.
  • 5. How we helped
We set up an account on social media sites to help alert others about our cause.
We also started our own campaign on my charity:water to help raise money and awareness for providing clean water.
It was our goal to initiate interest and action in this movement.
  • 6. What YOU can do to help
Donate your time or money to help the cause.
It only takes a few dollars to give a family the help that they need.
Commit your time to letting others know about this crisis.
Find and support charities fighting the battle against dirty water.
