2. What is copyright?
When you create
something you own it.
Copyright is the law that
protects your work.
It means you have
rights to protect your
work if people try to
copy it. cc licensed ( BY SA ) flickr photo by liako:

3. When you create something...
you are the copyright holder.
You don't need to put a copyright symbol on
your work. It is automatically copyrighted to
you.

4. If you don't know, assume it is
copyrighted!
Someone owns that work!
Just because it is online doesn't mean it's
free to use!

5. Copyright is about creativity
People protect their work because they
make a living from it;
Rather than take someone else's work,
why not create your own?

6. On an iPad...
It's easy to copy images and download
music to add to your creations.
Make sure you know that you have permission
to use it!

9. But remember!
Stay safe when searching
online for images, music
and other digital resources.
Know what to do if you come
across something
inappropriate.
Always make sure you have
permission before you use
another's work.
