Cosmetics Packaging Market Forecast 2014-2024: Which Leading Companies Will Succeed in the Future?
  • 2. “THE GLOBAL COSMETICS PACKAGING MARKET WILL REACH $25.83BN IN 2014” The global cosmetics packaging market is impacted by a variety of economic, demographic and fashion trends. Higher income levels in developing countries, and the ascension of the middle class and professional occupations are increasing the demand for cosmetic products. Appearance is becoming more and more important for both genders, and as consumers grow wealthier they are able to afford products previously seen as unattainable luxuries. In contrast; premiumisation and the ageing demographics of the mature economies are boosting demand for non-essential cosmetics and anti-agers. Expansion of distribution channels, along with environmental trends that are heightening the demand of organic cosmetics and environmentally friendly packaging, are factors that will be driving the market. Such trends in the cosmetics market will be translated into their packaging. As the global cosmetics market become more and more segmented, and product ranges become even more divided as consumer demand increases, designer houses will utilise innovative techniques and integrated applicators to entice consumers in the increasingly crowded cosmetics aisles. Packaging materials and packaging solutions as a result will need to adapt to new products/formulations, trends and demand of consumers.
