  • 2. ABOUT THE PROJECT      A smart TV, sometimes referred to as connected TV or hybrid TV. It’s a trend of integration of the Internet and Web 2.0 features into television sets. The project enables user acess via mobile and hand gestures. The project have a higher focus on online interactive media, Internet TV, as well as on-demand streaming media, and home networking access. These project allow viewers to search and find videos, movies, photos and other content on the Web, on a local cable TV channel, on a satellite TV channel, or on a local storage drive.

  • 7. APPLICATION Low cost smart TV converter module for all classes of society.  Easy access with hand gestures & mobile  Can browse the internet & watch YouTube videos  Use android apps 

SCHEDULE The project is divided into 5 main categories:  Installing the software stack –10%  Basic shell commands & scripts –20%  Building the back-end: NodeJS + Express + Socket.io –50%  Building the front-end: Dashboard and Remote App- 70%  Executing openCV modules to implement hand gesture control using camera-100%
  • 9. FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS This project can further be developed for smart house applications such as: • controlling appliances – electrical switches. • Optimizing Electrical consumption • Home Security
  • 10. INFERENCE  A normal television was transformed to a smart TV with advanced functions & applications with high-tech control features at low cost
