State Showcase Collaboration over a Distance Definition
Project for all three school districts Introduce everyone!
1999 – All schools had separate school foundations for raising money from businesses 2000- Formed The Schools Foundation – This provided one core fundraising program for our 3 school districts. Lunch- Feb. 2001 – One question? What is the one thing that would benefit all three school districts that you have no hope of funding. Timing is everything – Never did we dream that this project was soon to be started – 3 months later! TOYOTA
Why we chose DL as a goal? – This had long been a dream of all three school districts. It had been in our Strategic Plan and in the districts technology plan. May 2001 – Toyota announced that they would build an engine plant in Huntsville and wanted a project that involved the cooperation of all 3 school districts. We already knew our project! June 2001 – Broke Ground for the Toyota Engine Plant

Quantum took a product and changed it to suit our needs! Three Boards, Three School Systems, Three Textbooks adopted by Three school systems. – Presenting Teacher would determine which book would be used for classes Class sizes were also limited.
How we Advertised Flyers sent to each high school student’s home Ribbon Cutting – we connected all 3 school districts and their superintendents, the news etc. was present. Quantum trained our staff
