    Notes on slide 1

I want to tell you a story...

So what ‘are’ companies doing successfully on Twitter...

Companies are using Twitter for customer service ...

Branding. Intuit saw about a 30% drop in negative sentiment online in the first 3 months of starting to Twitter.

Companies like eBay took the opportunity for transparency.

Kojji BBQ... making the online follower and offline customer.

Companies are selling products and making a profit

What exactly is the difference between the GOOD, the BAD, and the SPAM?

Successful companies think beyond self promotion.

It ‘really’ can’t be all about you. Who would follow this?

Direct messages are not an opportunity for direct marketing.

A tweetup is a way to take your virtual relationship to the next level of commitment.

A tweetup can be as informal as posting a tweet last moment.

It can be planned long ahead of time with a twtvite. It can offer free food and drinks, or just a gathering place.

Although there are no rules, these are some best practices.

As in any social situation you have to mind your Ps and Qs

Again...what are successful companies doing on Twitter... We are still in the pioneer days of Twitter. It’s a time of exploration and discovery....

    The end.
