      • In 2002, Scott taught the world’s first workshop in online business networking.
      • In 2005, his first book, The Virtual Handshake, became the first book on the business use of social media, as well as the first freely distributed e-book from a major publisher.
      • Regular contributor to some of the web’s leading publications, including FastCompany.com, American Express OPEN Forum, Business.com, and over six years as the Entrepreneurs Guide for About.com. He also maintains multiple blogs of his own, including The Virtual Handshake Blog and Linked Intelligence.
      • At About.com, SEO helped Scott grow traffic on a well-established site by over 500%, peaking out at over a million page views monthly.

      • CEO and founder of Apogee Results and Campaigns, the largest Search & Social focused agency in Texas, and one of the largest independents in North America.
      • He is a former A McKinsey & Co. alumni and Dell Computer veteran.
      • Bill also serves as president of the Austin Interactive Marketing Association, and formerly was the chairman of SEMPO’s (Search Engine Marketing Professionals Organization) N. America local committee.
      • Bill received an MBA w/ honors from the University of Texas at Austin and his B.A. from Yale University.
