Unclutter Your Life: Transforming
Your Physical, Mental, And Emotional
Space by Katherine Gibson
Gets You Thinking And Cleaning!
Begun in the late 1990s, the simplicity movement is growing faster than
ever, as more people discover the sense of release and freedom that
comes from clearing out unwanted items and straightening out chaotic
homes and workplaces. Unclutter Your Life addresses visible clutter -
jammed-full garages, messy desks, closets of old clothes - and exposes
other kinds of clutter one may not see, such as unfinished taxes, stressful
noise, environmental irritants, emotions such as guilt and worry, and even
toxic relationships. These are obstacles in peoples lives as surely as piles
of newspapers or packed attics. Written in a lively and entertaining
manner, the book combines expert perspectives with stories and insights
of ordinary people to help readers learn to let go of any possession they no
longer really use or want; tackle difficult clutter issues such as what to do
with gifts, heirlooms, paper, books, and clothing; attack invisible clutter with
action and clarity; and make more room in their lives for beauty,
spontaneity, and adventure.
Personal Review: Unclutter Your Life: Transforming Your
Physical, Mental, And Emotional Space by Katherine Gibson
Make room for happier times, a positive flow of activity and better
relationships in your life after reading Unclutter Your Life: Transforming
Your Physical, Mental and Emotional Space. There are tons of books,
newspaper articles and entire magazines devoted to living a simpler,
cleaner more streamlined life. (Unfortunately, you might have tons of those
literary masterpieces already piled on your dining room table and kitchen
counters.)
This book will help you address the issues that are keeping you from living
the life you were meant to enjoy, not by telling you to clear out the old
clothes from your closet (or on your bedroom floor) but to touch on the
issues that create these blocks to your bliss. Furthermore, it will also help
you identify the toxic relationships that are also cluttering up your psyche.
So much of the clutter problem is a spiritual issue, and Katherine Gibson
hits it on target, better than anything else I've read on the subject before.
Highly recommended.
