The General Class license is the second of three US Amateur Radio
licenses. To upgrade to General Class, you must already hold a

Got my Tech license in Feb 09 and wanted to get a General upgrade ( that
is what I was shooting for in the first place )...I bought the book and
planned on a 3 to 6 month learning process before I took the exam...After
about one and half weeks of studying ( around an hour a day ), I decided
to try the test ( $15 and a 2 hour drive )...I missed one question on the test
and was in and out of the test area in about 15 minutes...I highly
recommend this book for preparing for the General test...
