Personal Review: Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons by Siegfried; Bruner, Elaine; Haddox, Phyllis Engelmann I taught my daughter to read with this book when she was 6 years old. Her 1st grade teacher was very inadequate so I had to take things into my own hands. I taught her to read in 3 months. Her teacher was astonished that she jumped grade levels so quickly(no thanks to her).I found this book at the library and kept on renewing it until we completed the 100 lessons. She was amazed that she was able to read so quickly. She is now 12 years old and a straight A student that loves reading. I'm purchasing this book to teach my 5 year old son (pre-K)to read. He is very interested in learning so I think now is the right time to buy this book, and besides I can't find the book in the library anymore. But I think its well worth the money.
