Small Favor (The Dresden Files, Book
10) by Jim Butcher
Dresden The Tenth!
The new novel in the New York Times bestselling Dresden Files series.
No ones tried to kill Harry Dresden for almost an entire year, and his life
finally seems to be calming down. For once, the future looks fairly bright.
But the past casts one hell of a long shadow. An old bargain has placed
Harry in debt to Mab, monarch of the Winter Court of the Sidhe, the Queen
of Air and Darkness-and shes calling in her marker. Its a small favor he
cant refuse...one that will trap Harry Dresden between a nightmarish foe
and an equally deadly ally, and one that will strain his skills- and loyalties-
to their very limits. It figures. Everything was going too well to last...
Personal Review: Small Favor (The Dresden Files, Book 10) by
Jim Butcher
I am totally hooked on this series, but find myself running out of adjectives
for these reviews. If you've read other books in the series and liked them,
then you won't be disappointed. If you've never read the Dresden Files, my
advice is to go out immediately, get a copy of Storm Front (The Dresden
Files, Book 1), and get started.
In this volume Faerie Queen Mab comes to collect on a favor Harry owes
her (from a previous book in the series) and our wisecracking hero once
again finds himself fighting impossible odds to solve a mystery he wants
no part of. All the old favorite characters: Murphy, Thomas, Michael,
Mouse, Molly - even Gentleman Johnny Marcone show up in the story.
(wow - I never noticed the alliteration before)
