I have been a mainframe developer for 16 years and very resistant to
switch to objected oriented programming. Let me tell you something:
"Simply Java Programming" has changed my attitude. For the first time, I
finished a compuer book from cover to cover and enjoyed every bit of it!!!
I've recommended the book to my colleagues and one of them just
purchased the same book yesterday.
What I like most about this book is the practical / tutorial approach which
got me interested in the JAVA world.
