Ripleys Believe It Or Not! The Remarkable Revealed! by Ripley Entertainment - Presentation Transcript

    1. Ripleys Believe It Or Not! The Remarkable Revealed! by Ripley Entertainment Great Book! INFORMATION: Ripleys Believe It Or Not: The Remarkable Revealed is the 4th title in this annual series., and is the biggest and best yet. It is full of incredible bizarre facts, stories, interviews, and features, all proudly displayed in a stunning bright new design. New features include: Collections - full-page features that showcase a themed collection of amazing images with captions. These include bizarre buildings, albino animals, competitive eating champions, and contortionists. Occasional full-page historical features that explore an aspect of the Ripley empire in its early days, when the great Robert Ripleys personal popularity was at its height. These include a feature on the millions of letters that Ripley received from the general public, and a feature on unusual uses for the many thousands of Ripley cartoons that have been published since the
    2. 1920s. In addition, fascinating black and white Ripley archive images are scattered throughout the book. Personal Review: Ripleys Believe It Or Not! The Remarkable Revealed! by Ripley Entertainment I got my first Ripley's Believe It or Not! as a Birthday present when I was about 8 0r 10 years old . It was a hard cover, published in 1930 and had 172 pages. It had a picture of "The Marching Chinese" with a caption "If all the Chinese in the world were to march 4 abreast, past a given point, they would never finish passing though they marched forever and forever.Believe It or Not!,I still have that book;and I just received this "The Remarkable...Revealed",for my 73rd Birthday.Over the years,I have continued to be entertained by Ripley books and have dozens of them. This 2007 edition is excellent in every way. and the people who continue to find the things in this book are to be congratulated. The construction, paper, printing, color rendition, layout, presentation, price and everything meet the highest of standards. The illustrations have advanced magnificently since the early days of simple B&W line sketches. The only fault one might bring up is that many items have no illustrations.I have written several reviews on other Ripley publications;so I won't repeat everything here. I still find it a shame that my Daily Paper does not carry the daily "Believe It or Not !"cartoon.Thank goodness it is stll available on the "Net". I would like to make a suggestion to the people who put this book together. The web site for the daily cartoon should be shown in the book ;and when an item has no illustration,a Website for more info would be a tremendous improvement. A good example would be "Guido's Handicraft" on page 47. I have seen them and they are unbelievable! For More 5 Star Customer Reviews and Lowest Price: Ripleys Believe It Or Not!
