Personal Review: Hot Shots by Kevin Meredith
Most photography books only cover some of the basics of photography by
presenting some strict rules to the reader and by showing ugly pictures to
exemplify the use of this rules. Kevin Meredith's book is far from being a
book full of rules, and really far from having ugly pictures.
This book is like a catalog of most of the techniques and types of
photography anyone can think of, and it gives you really clear and simple
pointers to work them out. The author might not get as technical as some
other authors do, but he's definitely not hiding any secrets to the readers.
Photography wise, Kevin Meredith's shots are really fresh and vibrant
(you're not going to find corny old fashioned pictures in the book) and he's
showcasing he's best work in this book for the reader to see it.
So basically you get a book that it'll help you to shot better pictures by
improving your techniques and exploring some aspects you might not even
have thought ov, and a really nice little coffee table book with some great
pictures to go in your book collection.
