    1. Griffin Simplifi Dock for iPod and iPhone, Media Card Reader, and USB Hub in One Device (Aluminum) Perfect For Imacs And Macbooks And Iphones De-clutter the top of your desk and simplify your digital life with Simplifi ... one compact unit that handles your iPod, USB connections, and all kinds of media cards. Simplifi charges dock-rechargeable iPod models as they sync with your computer through the included USB mini cable. Use Simplifis USB ports to plug in keyboards, printers, cameras, flash drives, scanners, external hard keyboards, printers, cameras, flash drives, scanners, external hard drives, anything USB 2.0-compatible. Simplifi ships with an AC adapters for those USB devices that need a powered port. Personal Review: Griffin Simplifi Dock for iPod and iPhone, Media Card Reader, and USB Hub in One Device (Aluminum) This is absolutely perfect for my setup. I have an iPhone 3GS that I wanted to get a docking cradle for. I have a Griffin Elan case on my iPhone and it sits in the dock perfectly and sturdy without any insert.
    2. The SDHC, Memory Stick and Compact Flash all work great. I was able to transfer a 3.4GB .iso file in less than 5 minutes to an SDHC card using Windows 7 RC. The Simplifi recognizes SDHC cards without any adapter! Both the memory card reader and the dock can be used without the power adapter. Even the USB ports in the back don't require the power adapter. I was able to charge another cell phone and my bluetooth headset without using the power adapter. You only need the power adapter for the USB devices that require extra juice. Now for the cord. Here's the rub. While Griffin may not come out directly and say that this item is aimed at MAC owners, it certainly appears to be. First, on their product page, it shows a picture of an iMAC. Also, the unit is white and aluminum to match the MACs. Finally, the very short USB cable connector seems to be intended for iMACs and MacBooks where you can plug it into the existing USB ports without any problems. It obviously wasn't designed for plugging into a PC Desktop that sits on the floor away from the desk. While this can be used with PC Desktops and Laptops, MAC owners are the ones that are likely to benefit most from this product. That said, how lucky am I? I just bought an iMac and was looking for a memory card reader, extra USB ports, and an iPhone dock. If you are an iMAC or MacBook pro owner, then this little gem is perfect!! The blue light is bright but doesn't bother me. Having the USB ports in the back instead of the front or side doesn't bother me. The build quality is fine and sits securely on the desk with it's rubberized pad on the bottom of the unit. It doesn't move around. All-in-all, you get three products in one that individually would cost a lot more than what this cost. The Griffin Simplifi is a winner!!
