Personal Review: Explore the Next Exit Before You Exit
We bought the 2008 edition last year for an 18 hour road trip with the
family. What a wonderful resource! We were able to preview exits so that
we could plan which gas stations to use, where the next Cracker Barrel
was, hotels if we needed them, and even attractions. You can also find out
when the next rest stop will be. This enabled us to make all kids of sound
decisions. For example, should we stop now or wait? Better look in the
book to see when our next opportunity will be. If we got bored of eating at
the same ol' place, we'd look in the book to see if there would be more
interesting choices coming up soon. There are also maps for each state's
interstates, as well as some close-ups. We found ourselves using the
book's maps instead of the ones we got from AAA, for convenience.

An excellent book, well worth the money. It's probably wise to update
every couple of years or so, though I don't see the need to update every
year as most places will still be there.
