Busy, Busy Town (Giant Little Golden Book) by Richard Scarry - Presentation Transcript

    1. Busy, Busy Town (Giant Little Golden Book) by Richard Scarry Richard Scarry Welcome to Busytown where everyone is on their way to work. The Busytown grocers stock and sell fresh food; the bankers keep the money safe; the doctors and nurses make sure everyone is healthy; the postal workers collect and deliver letters; the sanitation workers collect trash and recyclables; the lumber workers chop trees to make furniture and houses; and the workers at the docks, railroads and airports help transport people and freight. But it takes even more careers and professions than that to keep this busy town running. Personal Review: Busy, Busy Town (Giant Little Golden Book) by Richard Scarry I sent this to my 3-year-old grandson; I had already given him the Richard Scarry Word Book. He loves them both. BUT I just ordered from Amazon sellers two used (but almost perfect condition) copies of the First Picture Dictionary Ever, which is out of print, alas. The Dictionary was the favorite of my two daughters, and now I have a copy to give each family. All
    2. Richard Scarry books are gentle and engaging with so much detail that the child notices new things with each reading. Can't say enough good things! I think ages 1 year (with supervision) to as old as 8, but 3 to 6 really love these books. They will bring the book to you to read, and then they will teach themselves to read.
