I almost didn't read this one based on all the negative reviews. I'm glad that I decided to get it anyway and make my own opinion. I got this yesterday afternoon and finished it tonight. It was 750 pages, but went by very fast for me. Everything that happened (marriage, intimacy, baby, Bella changing and her powers, Jacob*) worked to me, and didn't seem tied up in a bow or worked out too fast without any grief or barriers that other people have alluded to. *I don't think any of these are giving anything away for anyone reading the reviews, anyhow.*
I don't know if Stephanie Meyers is going to write any more on this world (besides any that she's already mentioned) but it gives precedence to a lot of stories that she could turn out from this if she chooses to. How the baby grows up, for example, or what happens with Jacob, for instance.
I just don't think that anyone should ignore this final book, or not read it just because of any negative reviews. If you don't want to buy it, get it from the library or borrow from a friend. Make up your own mind on what you feel about it.
There are negative reviews and positive reviews. I liked it, so here's another addition to the positive list.
