I gave Beatrix Potter's journals to the parents of young readers (my
neighbors)at Easter along with appropriate Peter Rabbit books for their
children. They were enthusiastically received! I gave a third journal to a
delighted graduating 6th grader as a model for beginning her own journal.
This "3-dimensional" scrap book--a reproduction of Mrs. Potter's original--
tells how Beatrix began writing and illustrating her stories when she was a
young girl. It's a treasure--a keepsake. Anne Wells, Merritt Island, Florida.
