Seven Indian cities participated & managed to raise an amount of $168 in support of the global charity:water
Twestival Global 2009 raised over $250 million across the world for the charity:water
Of that, $83K was spent in aid of various drinking water projects in the state of Orissa, India
India participated in the first Global Twestival in Feb 2009

Twestival Local 2009, a great start in India
Six cities participated in the Twestival Local 2009: Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune
They supported Dream a Dream, Prajnya, Khusbhoo Welfare Society, IYCN, Help a Child! And IshwarPuram
The events received a lot of love and attention from people, media and sponsors alike

Concern's education programs target the poorest people in the poorest countries in the world
Particular emphasis on reaching out-of-school children such as girls, orphans, street children, working children, children affected by conflict, children affected by HIV and AIDS, and children with disabilities
For as little as $28USD they can provide uniform, books, pencils, & paper a child needs to attend a year of school
Concern Worldwide are able to guarantee that 100% of Twestival funds would go directly to project costs

Twestival Global 2010 - India Seven cities from India will take part rallying together for Concern on 25 th March
Bangalore, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Goa, Kolkata and Mumbai will host the Twestival and fundraise for Concern
Each city has planned a different event –rock show, fundraising party, drama, cultural performances, etc. Exact details available on the city blog/Twitter account as event details become finalized
