Significance
•

Firms need to have a social media presence and must be aware how to
manage it and design messages for it

•

Message design varies on a situational basis. Some cases one can use a
more direct approach, while in others you have to alter your
message/design

•

Design can also mean the difference between an easy experience or
difficult one for the customer. One must keep in mind that the customer
will need to navigate things with ease.

•

Documents are very different and very different uses

•

Information leads to taking action, so proper analysis is crucial

•

Presentations must retain interest and be easy to follow
Application
•

I plan on working in the marine or auto industry. I plan on being able
to manage social media account for a firm in order to promote new
products or build hype about upgrades or events

•

I also would like to run progress reports on new projects and use my
persuasive skills to write recommendation reports. I would also be
involved in designing web pages and presentations to make them easy
to navigate.
