  • As the most popular social media platform, Facebook has over 700 billion active monthly users, no wonder it’s a great place to communicate and engage with hotel shoppers. Facebook is equipped with features you can use to benefit your hotel Offer unique special promotions specifically to your facebook fans Communicate with travel shoppers online Promote other hotels you manage, or even local attractions Get direct bookings through the booking widget
  • Optimize facebook page by adding lots of photos, fresh content, highlighting amenities and promotions I try to ensure that information is displayed both visually and verbally in the content. That way, viewers get a full visual experience and access to all the details they crave.
  • I know some hotels struggle with deciding who should manage their facebook page Our Front Desk Lead schedules regular content, but it’s a team effort with ownership, sales and management helping with posting photos and hotel information We try to post at least once a week.  We do not want to overload our fans Newsfeed by posting something everyday; however, we also do not want to become “dead” or silent.
  • To leverage Facebooks visual features, you must create albums of photos and videos. Rich media is key in any online marketing and facebook is no different.  Utilize these features to post about your hotel, events, guest reviews. And much more. Some of our Facebook content is similar to our hotel website content. The details about our hotel, its features and amenities are the same. However, facebook tells a more real time story about our hotel with things that are happening now!  For instance, we posted pictures from our Grand Opening event, winners of the raffle.  We also posted pictures from our Super Bowl party, BBQ’s, and other real time events.
  • A great way to engage fans is through special offers on facebook We encourage our guests to like us on facebook.  We are planning on offering a Happy Hour special for facebook fans.  We also tag people in posts to get others engaged to our page.  We also have widgets on each of our hotels vanity websites.  In addition, as a multiproperty owner, we post links of our sister properties on each of the other hotels facebook pages ensuring that the fans are not just fans of the individual hotels, but follow all of the ownerships
