EXPERIENCE
Ø Jan 2013 – Present - Working as a Graduate Research Assistant, leading the Hadoop- Big Data team for
analysis of Social Network Data. The purpose of this project is to implement the concept of distributed
computing while using the Hadoop Distributed File System for Social Network Analysis related projects.
Ø Jan 2013- Present- Working as Academic Coach at the UALR Academic Success Center. Job responsibilities
include counseling undergraduate students and conduct seminars and workshops for Personal Development.
Ø Feb 2012 – Dec 2012 - Worked as a Testing Analyst, for the firm “Zurich Financial Services”
Ø Won, Organized and Participated in various events and activities while working in ZFS.
Ø Jun 2012 – Dec 2012- Worked as an Associate Software Engineer, in the field of Functional Testing
Ø May 2011- July 2011- Technical Intern at Birla Copper (Hindalco Industries Pvt. Ltd.). Main concentrations
of internship were to understand the management and maintenance aspects of Asia’s Largest Copper Smelting
plant and study the use of SAP in monitoring and controlling in-plant processes.

EXPERIENCE
• Jan 2013 – Mar 2013- Performed data cleansing, standardization and entity resolution (master data management)
on a data set of 100,000 records using SAS DataFlux and Oyster. This assignment had a very strict deadline and
was delivered successfully. It was a team project and I served as a technical resource. (Note: According to
Gartner, DataFlux is an industry leader in data quality and master data management applications)
• Jan 2013- Current – Member of the IAIDQ (International Association for Information and Data Quality)
committee of UALR. http://iaidq.org/ (The professional association for those interested in improving business
effectiveness through quality data and information.)
• Jul 2009 – Dec 2009 – Designed a Library Management System project where I designed a database and
created it using various relations for the ease in management. The GUI was built using HTML, CSS and Java
Script. Technologies used: Oracle
• May 2012- Graduated with a score among the top 10% in class.
• Jan 2012- Designed a Twin-Tube Shock Absorber for a 4-stroke 2-wheeler vehicle, considering the
vehicle weight to be approximately 150 kg and the combined weight of the passengers to be 200kg, under
Prof. Purna Chandra Mishra.

• Oct 2011- Worked on a research paper concerning Noise Control in Internal Combustion Engines under
Prof. Isham Panigrahi in November 2011. The paper included a detailed analysis of all the causes of
noise in an internal combustion engine and possible ways in which to reduce the noise.
• Jan 2011- Worked on the design and fabrication of an Abrasive Grinder under Prof. K. Pal. The main
intention of this project is to use the grinder on specimen and study the microstructures of ferrous and
non-ferrous alloys.
• Feb 2011- Case study on ‘The usefulness and applications of Six-Sigma in today’s Industries’ by visiting
various firms and performing a short research on Lean manufacturing.
• Sep 2010- Automation in milling tool design project using CATIA- a detailed analysis.
