Q. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of existing
media products?
I learned a lot about the conventions used of radio by researching about it on the web and just listening
to various local radio shows i realized that they used jingles and fancy loud music just to attract the
listeners and gain their attention and devotion towards the show. I also realized that mostly shows are
firstly well scripted and well thought off before going on air and the different segments that it is divided
in like the introduction then the main part and finally with the ending the main part usually consisted of
an interview. My radio bulletin follows all these conventions and does not go against them in any way.
Q. How does your media product present a particular social group?
My Radio Bulletin mostly targets the mature audience because it is a newscast and contains talks about
the various current issues of the world and the local too. The age group is about 28 and so on. Mostly
mature adults in this part of century are interested in news and my bulletin is meant to serve them.
Q. What kind of music institution might distribute your media product and why?
My media product can be broadcasted near colleges and universities for the teachers and the faculty to
listen as it targets the mature people and various other instructions like cafes and hotels might be
interested in broadcasting this also

It is a news bulletin so the audience will most probably be around 28 to 50 year old people. It is divided
into segments such as sports and entertainment so it might attract a wider range of listeners also.

also made different segments such as entertainment and sports that could attract youngsters also and
International and local news which mostly attracts the elderly and the mature segment.

By this product creation exercise i have learned to use several software’s such as Adobe audition,
Audacity,DVD video soft and a few more also by the research i have done on radio shows has taught me
about the ways by which radio shows are created and aired. I learned about the Jingles and sound
effects used in modern radio shows such as BBC Radio which uses a lot of them. I also learned about the
various sound formats in which sound can be converted and mixed and overall mixing of the sound
effects and my recordings.
Q. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learned in the progression from it to
the full product?
The preliminary task was the main time i learned all the software’s and stuff about audio mixing and all
when the full product was about to start i knew all the things about radio show making i just repeated
those steps just with different audio files. I also learned about audio dubbing and recovering during my
