PUBLIC ART 360 was a two-day symposium at UNC-Chapel Hill that examined the field of public art from the perspectives of the artist, architect, landscape architect, government, private interests, community, and critic. Seven keynote discussions framed issues about • how public art projects are initiated, approved, funded, and implemented • defining objectives in a public design process • implications for public policy Two hundred participants gained knowledge about how artists work in public space and why public art is important to our cities.

Objectives of Public Art 360 Objectives of Public Art 360 in Second Life • establish international educational portal for teaching and learning about public art that enables real-time interaction • create a Resource Network for public art professionals, artists, and people interested in public art • maintain a dynamic internet environment in which visitors can learn about and contribute to information and knowledge about public art projects and programs
    4. Objectives of Public Art 360 Objectives of Public Art 360 in Second Life • increase our visual vocabulary of public art • sponsor seminars, classes, speakers, and help sessions about public art that are free to users • support formal and informal discussion groups about public art
