6. 6. What do you do with those objects?
 7. 7.

Throw them away.

Recycle the things.

What do you know about recycling ?
 8. 8. I should know more about Recycling!!!
 9. 9. Importance of Recycling

The earth’s natural resources are being consumed.

We are living for today and the future generations will be paying for the consequences.

Recycling reduce consumption and relieve part of the damage we have been doing to the earth for centuries.

 10. 10. Recycle and Save the Earth

Recycling is one of the best ways for you to have a positive impact on the world in which we live.

Recycling is important to both the natural environment and us.

We must act fast as the amount of waste we create is increasing all the time .

 11. 11. The amount of rubbish we create is constantly increasing because:

Increasing wealth means that people are buying more products and ultimately creating more waste.

Increasing population means that there are more people on the planet to create waste.

 12. 12. The amount of rubbish we create is constantly increasing because:

New packaging and technological products are being developed, much of these products contain materials that are not biodegradable.

New lifestyle changes, such as eating fast food, means that we create additional waste that isn’t biodegradable.

 13. 13. Environmental importance

Recycling helps to reduce the pollution caused by waste.

Recycling reduces the need for raw materials so that the rainforests can be preserved.

Recycling requires much less energy and therefore helps to preserve natural resources.

 14. 14. Importance To People

Recycling is essential to cities around the world and to the people living in them.

Our landfill sites are filling up fast, by 2010, almost all landfills in the UK will be full.

Making products from raw materials costs much more than if they were made from recycled products.

Recycling reduces the need for raw materials; it also uses less energy, therefore preserving natural resources for the future.

 15. 15. We can Recycle Different Materials

Building Material

Composting

Computers

Glass

Metal

Paint/Oil

Paper

Plastic

Printer Cartridges

Recycling Banks

Textiles

Batteries

 16. 16. ACTIVITIES

Make a “green” plan for your school! Tell each other what you should and shouldn’t do. Think about:

paper lights bottles and cans books

old clothes heat travel water food

Make a list of things you can do to save energy and resources. Think about:

Saving energy

Garbage

What else?
