Origins of Child Family Health International <ul><li>Founded by Dr. Evaleen Jones while she was a medical student at Stanford in 1992 </li></ul><ul><li>Small NGO with a wide reach </li></ul><ul><ul><li>2009 Budget about $2Million, 5% overhead </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Working with over 250 medical professionals in Bolivia, Ecuador, India, Mexico, and South Africa </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Over $9 Million in medical supplies sent to underserved communities </li></ul></ul><ul><li>More than 5,000 students have participated in CFHI programs from over 460 medical schools or higher education institutions from around the world </li></ul>

Basic Principles <ul><li>Place health science students in international clinical rotations in ways that are socially responsible and financially just. </li></ul><ul><li>These experiences are designed to benefit both the underserved host communities and the participating students. </li></ul><ul><li>CFHI believes that sustainable partnerships must be based on a deep respect for communities and individuals and recognition of the expertise of the local hosts. </li></ul>

We seek to create a global health immersion experience that offers a life-changing opportunity at the most formative time of career development. </li></ul></ul>
