Many young people want to go to college, but they don’t know just how they’re going to afford it.• Each of the military branches has their own tuition assistance program, which means that soldiers, sailors, Airmen and Marines will be able to attend college while on active duty, without worrying about how to pay for it.
  • 7. Reasons To Join THeMilitary: Education Benefits• Servicemembers can also take advantage of the G.I. Bill.• There are quite a few different programs and which one you qualify for depends on when you entered service and how long you served.• One program, known as the Post 9/11 G.I. Bill covers tuition and fees, as well as provides veterans with a book allowance and monthly housing stipend.
  • 8. REasons To Join THeMilitary: Patriotism• Some members enlist simply because of a strong sense of patriotism and service.• These sailors, Marines, Airmen and soldiers often appreciate the sense of camaraderie that they receive from serving in the military.
  • 9. Which Military Branch To Join?• Each branch offers the same types of benefits, however potential enlistees still need to decide which military branch to join.• If you want to work with the infantry, consider signing up for the Army or the Marine Corps.
